MI4345

interactive map of tangible and intangible WWII memories

MI4345 is an innovative project that aims to recall the most relevant memories of Second World War in Milan.
Firstly, we designed and developed an interactive web app that features a digital topography of memories lying in physical places of the city like buildings, streets and squares. Secondly, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Italy’s Liberation Day, we used laser-cut cardboard stencils and chalk spray paint to mark the city with temporary QR codes that connect the tangible traces with their intangible memories.
